GOODELL FAMILY LETTERS- #25

Anson to Parents

Camp Pine Tree
Newbern, N.C.
Sept. 20th [1863]

Dear Parents

By the bearer I send you package of old letters also the enclosed pictures of my comrades which you will please keep for me. I sent by F. W Perry to get some copied for me but as there is a probability I shall not see him again at present I would like you to get me two dozen pictures copied from the best one you have of the small ones and send them back by Edwin – and also word to Perry in some way that you are getting them copied and he need not be to the trouble of getting those I sent by him.

With regard to myself and others I suppose there is no need of writing for you can get as good an account from the bearer.

My letters please put in my letter box. I guess that it must be nearly full by this time. Well there is not but a little more than a year longer in which to write and answer letters and burden you with my correspondence.

                                                            Good bye

                                                            Affectionately your son

                                                                                   Anson
